The European Alliance of Hockey Clubs released its annual attendance report for European and Asian hockey leagues. The report was great for the The Tauron Hokej Liga (THL), as Poalnd’s top level once again saw more fans in the stands. The THL held its spot at 13th place, just over 300 fans behind Denmark’s Metal Ligaen. The alliance reported that the THL’s average attendance was up to 1,421, an increase of 12.24%. This was fourth in growth among the 23 tracked top leagues.

This year’s growth was mainly the result of the four clubs, with Oswiecim and Sosnowiec leading the way. These four clubs, with average-attendance increases of 100+, really helped offset the losses the rest of the league incurred.

Sosnowiec was once again the top-ranked club in the report for Poland, coming in at 154th with an average attendance of 2,586. This is the highest a Polish club has ranked since STS Sanok placed 130th with 1,568 fans during the 2022 season. After having no Polish clubs in the top 200 last season, three Polish clubs made it in 2026.

Seeing all the fans in the stands this past season was great. The league was able to increase attendance in a year when one team was playing in Czechia, Sanok once again struggled off the ice, and Podhale disappeared from the league. As more rink upgrades take place across Poland, hopefully, the league will continue to climb the rankings.
