It was a big night for Krzysztof Macias, as he tied his career high for points in a single game with three. He last achieved a three-point night with a hat trick on October 6th. Tonight Macias scored the Prince Albert Raider’s second goal of the game to tie it at two. Early in the third period, the Raiders started to pull away, and Macias added to their lead with his second of the night. Less than eight minutes later on the powerplay Macias would assist on a Niall Crocker goal. The three-point night earned him First Star of the Game honors. While it tied a career-high, this night was extra special as Macias’ parents were in attendance. Nathan Reiter of the Prince Albert Daily Heard wrote a great piece on his parents’ trip to Sasketawan and Macias’ life off the ice. Prince Albert would pick up another win with a final score of 7-3. Macias and the Raiders will return to action on Friday (2/16) versus the Medicine Hat Tigers.
